Slipcovering the Chairs

Some time ago we bought a couple of new armchairs. We quickly realized that they would have to be slip covered to protect them from the cats. So I got to try my hand at slip covering again.

  1. Hello and congrats for your blog, it´s very useful and creative!
Could you give more informations about how you’ve done your slipcovering? I’d like to do the same with one of our chair but I dont know what to begin with. How do you cut your fabric etc…?
Thank you very much for your help.

  2. Sorry, I meant to answer you right away, but I let things get away from
    me!

I have some older posts in my blog that explain how I slipcovered my sofa. It shows how I cut the fabric and fit it to the sofa. There are quite a few posts about this.

The first post is located at

    http://mostlysewing.lucidway.org/2006/06/11/previous-slipcover-work/

The easiest way to find all the posts that deal with the sofa slipcover is to go my blog. On the right side you’ll see a column named CATEGORIES, under there, click on the link called Sofa Slipcover. This will bring up all the posts that deal with the slipcover.

    Good Luck!
    Lupe

  3. I need to make a slipcover for my couch but I’m scared because I have never attempted such a huge sewing project, do you have any tips for me?
